This Manhattan pied-à-terre was transformed from dark and cave-like into a warm, seamless living space. Drawing from the Richard Meier building it resides in, the design pairs soft, inviting tones with crisp lines. The kitchen, living, and bedroom flow as one, anchored by custom white oak millwork, rounded plaster forms, and rich wenge floors. A sculptural fluted plaster wall and custom plaster arch console by Pietro Franceschini add architectural presence. Each area of the space is intentionally used with a smartly tucked office niche in the Venetian plaster bedroom featuring curved white oak and a marble desk. The marble bathroom, revealed through switch glass, brings a sleek edge with darkened nickel fixtures. This residence is tailored, architectural, and commanding.
